FMID Ethanol Train w/UP 6462 |
Description: |
A trio of ex-SP motors leads another ethanol unit train, seen here on Pinsly's FMID Gordonsville Spur. This is the second train to use the new "runthru" agreement on the power. Pinsly recrews the train at Winter Haven by the Amtrak depot where the spur branches off. And while no sandhill cranes flew into frame this time, there is an eagle in the nest up on top of the tower back there... |

FMID Ethanol Train w/UP 6462 |
Description: |
Well, here's the ultimate "proof" shot, the loaded ethanol train leaves CSX and begins its runthru on a second railroad since leaving UP's rails in Proviso. The FCEN (FMID) motors will follow the train to grab hold of the tail end while the head end is cut off. From a roster aspect, here you have three ex-SP's & two ex-ATSF's. |

FEC 2000 Makes A Move |

For the better part of 2009, #2000 sat in New Smyrna Beach. 2010 was shaping up to be the same way, but RailAmerica started sending out their fleet all over the RA system & 2000 was moved to Jacksonville. It thankfully escaped being sent away & in December, was reactivated for use on its home rails. |

CSX Q455 Thru Taft Ramp |
Description: |
Late-running Q455 did something it rarely does, bypassed Taft Yard for Taft Ramp, swinging in at the TOFC signal & running around the loop. This way, they dropped their auto racks on Ramp 4 & only had to pull out into the siding & back into Taft Yard. The tail end of Q178 can be seen to the right of 7333. As of the date of this photo, approx 37 CSX motors were left in CR paint. (NOTE: 12/10-7333 is now in YN3 paint) 7333 is ex-CR 6134 & part of the "dedicated" pool of power that Waycross regularly sends in & out of FL. 7496, third out, already met the paint booth & is ex-CR 6042. |
