EMD Roar
Title:  EMD Roar
Description:  With a speed limit of 30 mph on the jointed rail and a steep grade too, train 636 was giving it all it had to make maybe 20 mph as it roared up to Eyota. After I took this shot, I wished I had taken video to capture the sound. Sharp eyes will see that the right side of the shot is distorted, I believe the image sensor has a screwed up some how.

Here its seen near the top of Stockton Hill, just outside of Lewiston as it leans into the sharpest curve on the hill.

Mississippi Valley
Title:  Mississippi Valley
Description:  Ahh, the beautiful valleys and scenery that come with the CP and DM&E lines! Here we see 487 climb up towards Stockton with the CITX 3091 leading the charge. Thankfully the sun cooperated enough to make this shot go as planned too! Where else in MN can you see a trio of SD40-2s running with in scenes like this? This is one of the many reasons why I love the DM&E!

Working Waseca
Title:  Working Waseca
Description:  Power from yesterdays 277 works the yard at Waseca before shoving into the clear so 636 can roll by. I was hoping the power would pull up a bit farther so I could get a better lit shot of the leader, but this was as good as I could do given what I was dealt with. Thanks to Josh for the train ID on this one.

IMRL 123
Title:  IMRL 123
Description:  A head on shot of the other former Soo GP9 that also works the grain elevators in New Ulm. I love how the "Soo Line" lettering is bleeding through the nose on this unit.

Finally!
Title:  Finally!
Description:  After wanting to shoot these units for years, I got my chance, and it decent light too! It sure was nice to see a former Soo Passenger GP9 still in active service more then 50 years after it was built.
