Album Info:The New York & Atlantic Railway (NYA) was founded in May 1997 to operate the Long Island Rail Road's freight services, as the LIRR (a State agency) decided to exit the freight business and focus on passenger and commuter services. NYA's headquarters and base are at Fresh Pond Yard in Glendale, NY (Queens) with interchange to CSX and CP. Service is provided in Queens, Brooklyn, Nassau and Suffolk Counties.
