Description: |
Museum Bound. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train in Spruce Creek, Pennsylvania, on 10 July 1965. Shown here are PRR engines #2250, #2305, and three other units whose numbers are not visible. #2250 is an EF-22 built by EMD in 1963 anX rated at 2,250 horsepower. #2305 is an EF-25 built by EMD in 1964 and rated at 2,500 horsepower. They are pulling a 128-car eastbound mixed-cargo freight train with N-8 caboose #478125. Wave to the engineer! As of 04 July 2016, or 51 years later, #2250 ~ now numbered "2198" ~ is in active excursion service with the New Hope & Ivyland Railroad in New Hope, Pennsylvania. |
