116 Cars Westbound
Title:  116 Cars Westbound
Description:  Union Pacific 4001 lugs a 116 car train uphill at Riview. Riview is located just west of Green River, where trains begin the climb to Evanston further west. The Ogden-bound train is made up of 11 cars loaded with coal, followed by a lengthy string of empty reefers. Trains heading west on the Wyoming Division often had empty reefers. These cars would then be loaded and returned east. Obtained from Union Pacific Steam: Big Boy Portraits (Bush, Ehernberger)
