Illinois Central 2-8-2 #1454 seen here started out as IC #1966 (serial #6558) built by Lima in October of 1923. The loco was rebuilt and renumbered to IC #1454 by the IC shops in February of 1938. After nearly 33 years of service it was sold for scrap in May of 1955.Rebuilt specs - 63.5" drivers, 225 psi boiler pressure, 27x30" cylinders, engine weight of 308,500, tractive effort of 65,868 lb.
