MRSR #541 CLOPEN
Title:  MRSR #541 CLOPEN
Description:  Built as CP 52 seat chair-16 seat smoker #2290, 1 of 99 such cars (#2200-#2298) built in 1947-1949 as shells by CC&F and NSC and completed by the CP shops through 1950. In 1958, 3 of these cars (#2289-#2291) were reconfigured to 40 seat parlors #6600-#6602 (equipped with galleys). In 1973, CP sold 15 of these cars, including the 3 parlors, to the British Columbia Provincial Museum for use with CP Royal Hudson #2860; the 3 parlors were given FALLS-series names, the #6601 was named BRANDYWINE FALLS. 6 of these cars were later sold to the Mount Rainier Scenic, and the BRANDYWINE FALLS was rebuilt to open air coach #541 CLOPEN. CLOPEN is a portmanteau coined by Jack Anderson for "closed-open". EXIF: 11:19 AM, f/3.3 @ 1/1250, ISO-100
