| Eastbound coal train CWTNT-05 finally gets to the top of the hill, passing under the Clay Ave. overpass. We heard on the scanner that this train was going "1.3 mph". He was crawling indeed, with a bit of wheel slippage to boot. Normally, full coal trains crest the hill at Kirkwood at slow speed with all prime movers in the consist straining as hard as they can, but I've never seen one go this slow! |
