CRIP 4-8-4 #5019 - Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific         
This good looking, solid loco was built by Alco-Schenectady in September of 1929 as CRIP 4-8-4 #5019. It was used in both freight and occasional passengeer service, especially after receiving 74" drivers in a late 1930's rebuild. The loco lasted for nearly 23 years before being sold for scrap in October of 1952. Original specs - 69" drivers, impressive 250 psi boiler pressure, 26x32" cylinders, engine weight of 434,000 lb and tractive effort of 66,620 lb. . No date location or photographer was listed for this photo so approximates were used.
