This track was abandon in 1985. The northbound train was VM4 & the southbound train was MV3. VM4 had a flat meet with MV3, but VM4 ran the meet & caused the head on collision. The head brakeman was killed & three others injured. Info contributed by Robert Tomb.

Fred Goff General A flat meet is a meet where a train cannot leave a station or siding until the arrival of an opposing train. In this instance, the train ran his flat meet & caused a head on collision . 4/10/2011 10:08:25 PM
