Brad Brevelle General What is the difference between the GP7 and the GP9? They look very similiar. Thanks. 3/2/2013 9:42:13 AM
Craig Walker General One of the main spotting features on GP7s is a pair of louvers under the cab, which are absent on the GP9. There are many other minor spotting feartures as well. UP 189 is a Phase I GP9, which has the same style handrail stanchions as GP7s have. Phase II and III GP9s have the same style stanchions as later units (GP30s, GP35s, etc.). Door heights can also vary on GP7s (depending upon the phase), but they are all the same height on GP9s 3/2/2013 5:48:46 PM
