BM #409 - Boston & Maine  Contributor's Pick!
Built by the Manchester Locomotive Works (Alco) in 1911, this class G-11a switcher had small 52" drivers but could generate a very respectable boiler pressure of 200 psi for its 19"x26" cylinders. Although the photo had no date, location or photographer listed, it appears like it might be in the Boston passenger yard. Date is approximate.

G Gerard General 410 is also out of Manchester S/n 4972. It is supposedly preserved in Lowell, Ma at the historic park. Nobody has posted a shot of it on this site. 6/10/2015 1:36:17 PM
