The Wheeling transfer run is in the top left corner. WE 302.  Contributor's Pick!
They've just backed off the Wheeling Connection onto the CSX westbound. What got me about this shot is the rail under my camera. It's the north rail of the EL westbound. The lonesomeness of this scene, the forlorn looking track with more than 30 years worth of trees growing up in the gauge, just gets to this former EL conductor.

T. P. Bruss General It is quite the forlorn shot, but an interesting one nonetheless. 1/3/2015 4:22:15 AM
Robert Farkas General This is one of your ten best. It is worthy of being published in a photography magazine. It conveys the present intruding on the past in a way that makes me feel I could walk down this track and somehow cross the barriers of space and time and connect with the EL we both truely miss. 1/3/2015 7:02:05 PM
Fred Stuckmann General I am not worthy of such high praise, I humbly thank you sir. 1/3/2015 7:59:06 PM
