| Brickyard. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train at the Brickyard Crossing in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 29 November 1964. Shown here (L to R) are PRR engine #7255 and three other units whose numbers are not recorded. All were built by EMD. #7255 is an EFS-17M built in 1959 and rated at 1,750 horsepower. They are travelling down the Allegheny Mountains via the Horseshoe Curve and through Altoona to the Enola Yards with a 117-car mixed-cargo freight train. The caboose is #477484. |
