| It appears to be near the end of this little 4-4-2 Atlantic style locomotive built by Also-Brooks in February of 1901 (serial #3766). It sits in an unidentified storage line missing its faceplate number and bell - sure signs the scrapper's torch will be next. Specs - class A-24, 78.5" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 20.25x26" cylinders, engine weight of 162,000 lb, modest tractive effort of 23,089 lb. No date, location or photographer was listed for the photo but probably is around 1934 when the last of these locos were finally retired. |
