Milwaukee Road/Soo Line and Chicago & Northwestern Lines Meet
Former Milwauukee Road/Soo Line and C&NW lines crossed at grade via a diamond on this small industrial island in Menasha. The island was created when the navigational canal was dug adjacent the Fox River. The bridge on the left is the former Milwaukee Road/Soo Line (Soo trackage rights) and the one on the right was the CNW main. All are now part of the CN empire. The CNW is an industrial spur and the Milwaukee/Soo track runs to Hilbert Junction. From Hilbert Junction, the trains can go on to Manitowoc or head south to New Holstein.
