PSCC 1211 "Turbine 33"         
EMD 10/1955 as Chicago, Burlington and Quincy #9273, becoming Burlington Northern #231 then Burlington Northern Santa Fe #3503. Sold 9/2006 to Larry's Truck & Electric and R/N 1211. Bought by Pennsylvania Southern in June 2017. On June 28th 2005 a Chinook MH-47E helicopter code named “Turbine 33” was shot down with an RPG near the village of Salar Ban in Afghanistan. This tragedy was part of a search, rescue, and recovery mission in conjunction with Operation Red Wings. The resulting crash killed all eight U.S. Navy SEALs and all eight U.S. Army Special Operations aviators on board. Eight stars will go on each side of the cab to honor the victims.
