Spokane, Portland, and Seattle 273 sits on a side track in Astoria. The combine is parked on the west end of town in the industrial area along with two old steam tenders. These likely have been here for over 25 years. BNSF ceased service to Astoria in 1996, and the ROW was eventually purchased by the Astoria Riverfront Trolley, which now operates a short tourist line across town. Thanks to Doug Tilley for identifying the combine. |
