The month after the Illinois Central Gulf was formed, Gulf, Mobile & Ohio RS3 1518 was parked outside Khe engine shed on the former GM&O in Bonalusa, Louisiana. The locomotive had been built in July 1950 and was assigned ICG number 1518, but it was retired March 1975 before it was ever repainted. No GM&O RS3 units were repainted as ICG lo_os.
