New Electrics of Caltrain
Caltrains newest acquisition rests in the CEMOF yard north of San Jose Diridon. Caltrain 306 is a Stadler KISS, built by Stadler in Salt Lake City, Utah. These are Electric Multiple Unit (EMU) trainsets, each capable of 125 MPH. 306 is part of the first 6-car set delivered to Caltrain, and will enter regular service in 2024. The set has already undergone testing at San Jose Diridon. Also present is one of Caltrain's MP36PH-3Cs, the now-second newest members of the Caltrain fleet. Taken from Caltrain #118 southbound.
