SD70ACe 9394 is the third unit on a northbound coal drag parked on a yard track at South Seattle. The train is likely waiting for a new crew to head further north. The boxy EMD beast was built in 2006, and is part of a series of SD70s built with non-isolated cabs, known as "Thundercabs." These units had noise levels so excessive in the cab that they were banned from leading trains on BNSF, hence why 9394 is third in this consist. |
