Description:  This massive 4-12-2 steam locomotive was the answer to Union Pacific's need for speed on flat-land freight service. Built by Alco-Schenectady in June of 1929, the loco proved its worth in freight hauling albeit at a high price of maintenance. The loco was on the roster from 1929 until being retired in September of 1955. Specs - 67" drivers, 220 psi boiler pressure, one 27x31" cylinders and two 27x32" cylinders, engine wt of 496,500 lb, impressive tractive effort of 96,650 lb.
