UP 4-12-2 #9041         
What a long "drink of water" this must have appeared back in the heyday of steam. Built by Alco-Schenectady in June of 1929, the loco was a powerful freight hauling brute on the flat western plains atrea. It served faithfully for nearly 26 years before being retired and scrapped in September of 1955. Specs - 67" drivers, 220 psi boiler pressure, one 27x31" cylinders and two 27x32" cylinders, engine wt of 496,500 lb, impressive tractive effort of 96,650 lb. No photographer was listed for the photo.
