Title:
Baltimore & Ohio 2-8-0 #2267
Description:
Here's yet another example of a class E-24 from 1901. Unfortunately, no date or location were given with this photo as well no photogrpaher's name so arbitrarily set it during its running days of 1924 at Baltimore. From the small view of the background, it could be a shot from West Virginia where these mocos also worked.

BO 0-10-0 #950 - Baltimore & Ohio
Description:
Two of the 1914 Baldwin Santa Fe's - 6009 (serial #41701) and 6030 - were converted to mighty ten-wheel switcher/pusher engines at the B&O company's shops in the mid-1920s. The modfications entailed much more than simply removing each truck. Indeed, the only dimensions that remained the same were the cylinder volume, driver diameter, and wheelbase. A new boiler shorter by 25% and pressed to a higher degree provided the steam from water heated in a smaller firebox. Axle loading increased, a useful change in heavy switcher. Specs - 58" drivers, 225 psi boiler pressure, 30x32" cylinders, engine weight of 349,500 lb, impressive tractive effort of 94,966 lb. This 8x10 photo might possibly be an original B&O builder's photo but not stamped with the B&O logo as most are.

BO 4-6-2 #5320 - Baltimore & Ohio
Description:
Beautiful newly built 4-6-2 Pacific stands outside the Baltimore & Ohio Mount Clare shops where it was built in 1928. The class before B&O #5320 was the Presidental P-7 class built by Baldwin in 1927. This was a powerful fleet of 20 passenger engines named after US Presidents in order, beginning with #5300 President Washington. #5320, however, was built by the B&O shops at Mt Clare, Maryland, with some interesting difference such as having Caprotti valve gear and a watertube boiler and classified as the only P9 loco. It carried the name "President Cleveland" to take its place in the Presidental line up. In 1947, it was rebuilt to conform to the others of the P7 class. Unknown photographer - possibly a B&O builder photo.
